What I Ate Today: A Day in My [Clean Eating Foodie] Life

Most weight management programs will suggest that you eat 5-6 small portions per day. This can take the form of three meals with three small snacks in between, so you’re never over-eating and your blood sugar remains well regulated.  This also prevents you from starving yourself by skipping meals – a bad strategy that sets you up for late-night binges and weight management failure! 

 

To give you an idea of what this looks like, I thought I’d share a typical day in my delicious, clean eating foodie life 🙂

 

Here is what I ate yesterday:

 

5:00am Pre-workout

 

LEMON WATER

 

 

7:00am Breakfast (post-workout)

 

GREEN SMOOTHIE (1 CUP SPINACH, 1 CUP ALMOND MILK, 1 TSP SPIRULINA, 1 TBSP HEMP HEARTS, 1/2 SCOOP VANILLA PROTEIN POWDER, 1/2 BANANA, 1 TSP MACA POWDER, 1/2 CUP WATER)

 

 

10:00am Mid-morning snack

 

1/2 POMEGRANATE, 1/4 CUP BLUEBERRIES WITH 20 SOAKED ALMONDS & 1 TBSP HEMP HEARTS

 

 

1:00pm Lunch

 

SALMON, COLLARD GREENS, YELLOW PEPPER, PORTOBELLO MUSHROOM & QUINOA (recipe here!)

 

 

3:00pm Mid-afternoon snack

 

3 SMALL PIECES OF Lindt 85% DARK CHOCOLATE (yep… I’m being honest!)

 

7:00pm Supper

 

SEARED HALIBUT WITH PESTO ZUCCHINI, HEIRLOOM TOMATOES & PARSLEY (recipe here!)

 

 

8:30pm Evening snack

 

PLAIN GREEK YOGOURT WITH WALNUTS AND PUMPKINS SEEDS (sweetened with 2 drops of liquid Stevia)
