Salad in a Jar


It’s not really a recipe, it’s just a good idea that I want to pass along to you.

 

 

It’s simple really. You just need a jar or tub (mason jars work well, or tall tupperwares like the one I used in this photo), veggies and a protein source. Put your dressing on the bottom (I used 2 tbsp sugar-free salsa), that way nothing gets soggy, then start layering. Things that won’t get soggy should go closer to the bottom (like your meat, or heartier vegetables); leafy greens should go at the top. When you’re ready to eat it, just flip it onto a plate and you’ve got a healthy, non-soggy salad ready to go! If you’re at work and don’t have a plate, you can definitely just mix things around in your container and dig in with a fork 😉
